Little Man Jack

Little Man Jack, FlyerLong before Harry Potter was even thought of, there was Jack… In ‘Little Man Jack’ Ursula transports one of England’s oldest and most well loved children’s story characters firmly into the 21st century with seamlessly interwoven tale telling, music & heaps of interaction. Join Jack on his ongoing quest to please his poor Mum and meet all the magical friends and creatures that help or hinder his journey.

First commissioned by Opera North’s Education Department in 2017 this show has proved a hit at theatres, libraries and museums alike across England and in Ireland. So much so it seemed positively idle not to share it with everyone!

From the first moment Ursula entranced and mesmerized everyone. This is a fascinating, richly woven tale with wonderful pace and truly great characters. Ursula interacts with her young audience to raise tension and suspense to a great pitch before steering the story safely and seamlessly towards its happy ending. The children did not want it to finish! They could not wrench themselves back to reality!
